KTT's Objectives

  • To make outbound travel from Rwanda accessible and affordable for all, including the Rwandan population.
  • KTT believes strongly that tourism is an important tool towards peace and economic development. It makes it possible to strengthen the interaction, cultural and trading links between people from different countries. It opens peoples' minds and increases tolerance and respect for other cultures.
  • To promote tourism inside Rwanda, in a sensible and rational way.

KTT's Services

We are currently able to offer the following services :

  • Hotel reservations.
  • Tours within Rwanda and the region (Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Seychelles).
  • Tours and holidays abroad.
  • Business Travel.
  • Travel Insurance.

Terms and conditions of payment and possible discounts can be negotiated on a case by case basis and for major clients such as companies and organizations, preference is given to laying down the agreed services, terms and conditions in a contract.

KTT's Strategy

KTT's strategy is based on the reconciliation of commercial goals with development objectives. In other words, KTT believes that its products and services should not only be commercial in nature in the sense of generating income for the company but must also contribute to the development of the tourism sector with a positive impact on the overall development of the country.

While massively attracting tourists to Rwanda is tempting because of the important incomes tourism can bring in the country, KTT is more in favour of a strategy based on the principles of eco-tourism that will try to reduce the internal pressure already existing on the Rwandan land and forests.

Apart from the ecological aspect, eco-tourism is community-based and provides therefore as well the opportunity to create non-farm employment for the population now depending completely on farming for its survival.

Eco-tourism will require a completely new approach in Rwanda, both from the population and from the travel agencies. KTT's strategy consists of advocacy for eco-tourism through diverse means : discussions with travel agencies, linking with other ecotourism agencies and experiences abroad.

To promote incoming tourism in Rwanda, KTT's strategy consists of:

  • Creating good quality promotional material for Rwanda, such as postcards, posters, calendars and more.
  • Linking with other travel agencies in the US and Europe, worldwide, and in the region.
